Membership Prerequisites

  • The ideal singer will have a passion for achieving excellence in vocal performance and a desire to inspire a love of choral music in the greater Fort Worth community.

 

Schedule

  • Rehearsals will take place Monday evenings from 7:30-9:30pm at Trinity Episcopal Church, 3401 Bellaire Dr. South, Ft. Worth, TX 76109

  • The rehearsal and concert schedule will be announced at the beginning of the season. If additional performance opportunities become available, members will be polled before the ensemble schedules the performance.

 

Attendance

  • Be on time to all calls, warmed up and ready to sing.

  • A maximum of 3 absences will be allowed for the season. Please communicate absences to the section leader with as much advance notice as possible.

 

Preparation

  • It is the singer’s responsibility to learn the music before rehearsal. A consistent lack of preparation will result in dismissal from the group.

 

Dues

  • A singer’s dues are $150 per season. Dues pay for some operating expenses, as well as music purchases.  Singers do NOT have to purchase their music, and the music is theirs to keep at the conclusion of each concert.

 

Uniform

  • Singers will provide their own concert attire.

    • Men - ALL BLACK attire.  This can be a tuxedo with a BLACK shirt.  Tie is optional.  Either a coat OR a vest must be worn with the all-black shirt.

    • Ladies - All black outfit with at least a ¾ length sleeved top and mid-calf length bottom for skirt or dress.  Either dress or pant suit is acceptable

 

Communication

  • Email and Remind are the primary means of communication with members.

  • Singers are expected to acknowledge and respond to communication in a timely manner. 

 

Officers

  • Singers may assist with the administrative tasks of the ensemble by serving as an officer. 

    • Secretary - Communicates with the Directors and other officers to deliver information to members.

    • Treasurer - Handles the taxes, non-profit account, purchasing, membership fees, and ticket income of the organization.

    • Promotional Team - Manages social media accounts and communicates upcoming events with the greater community via mailing list, posters, flyers, radio ads, etc.

    • Librarian - Distributes purchased music and supplies to members.

    • Section Leader - Record attendance, schedule and lead sectionals, and report progress and challenges of the section to the Directors
